Copper loveliness

So I've been wanting to start working in copper for a while now, to hone my skills in wire working. I really flew by the seat of my pants as I was learning wire wrapping in the summer, and have just been getting by on some basic skills since then, so I'd like to build on what I know and begin to experiment a little. This was my first experiment, I guess. I made this back in late November, but haven't had time to take a picture of it until today! Jasper, foil-lined glass beads and copper.

more custom earrings...

Well, things got crazy there, in the lead up to Christmas! I was making jewellery up until the afternoon of Christmas day, for various presents, but I managed to get it all done, thankfully. These are another pair of earrings designed for someone's gift to a sister...this time, my S.O.'s mother's sister. Lapis, Austrian crystal and sterling silver.

Custom Order: Jasper, Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls & silver

I created this for my partner's boss's wife (his boss is also now a good friend and his wife was an actor in one of my partner's short films, so it's a little less formal than it sounds). His only specification was "something with green in it," saying that since I know her, I'd be able to figure out what she'd like best. I'm really thrilled with the result! This design kind of came to me in the middle of the night, a few days back, and I had to find the right stone and crystals to make it happen...and I'm so glad it worked!

Custom Christmas Order

The lady at work who asked me to create some ornaments for her has a friend, whom she referred me to. He saw what I'd created for her daughter in the past (other necklaces) and asked me to create something for his daughter, an 18 year old former goth, whose favourite colours are black and dark red. This is what I came up with....I hope they both like it!!

Tourmaline and Onyx

I created this piece completely off the cuff...and have fallen in love with it. I'm not sure what part really makes me hum, perhaps it's the weight of that big teardrop-shaped Onyx bead on my chest, but it just feels so *good* when it's on! It'll take a lot for me to part with it, I think.

Christmas ornaments...

Well a lady I used to work with asked me to make her some ornaments for guests at a party she was giving. She literally gave me nothing to go on, so I had a bit of artistic license. This is what I came up with! I'm pretty happy with how things turned out...

Custom Earrings for a friend

I made these 3 sets of earrings for a friend in Florida, who wanted gifts for her sisters and mother for Christmas. This was my first international order! I'm so excited, because I can use the PayPal earnings to buy more beads from some of my favourite US suppliers (Turquoise Magpie anyone??).
