The two necklaces I'm posting are from my own stash (ones that I'm unwilling to part with!), mainly to use as a base for other, similar designs with different stones. The top necklace is Botswana Agate, the second necklace is Banded Agate with one pearl, and the earrings are Aqua Chalcedony with pearls. Those I can make plenty of before running out (also in red)!
This is, thus far, the best photo of the bride's necklace that I've been able to get a hold of. I believe there will be more to come. Thanks for the picture, Denise!
A childhood friend of Raj, who has turned into a friend of mine, got married this past summer, and asked me to design the jewellery for her wedding party, as well as her mother, grandmother, and future mother-in-law. It was a wonderful creative endeavour, with a request to make each necklace unique, fitting certain specifications with colour and neckline and style. What resulted was the what you see above.
I've had these gorgeous Chocolate Jasper rondelles from Turquoise Magpie for a few months now, and I wanted to make something more dramatic with them than just a rustic setting. I finally found my inspiration in a box of faceted Czech glass beads!
I recently got a shipment of incredibly beautiful faceted gems (thank you, Marilyn and Ranjan!) that I've been playing with, and enjoying the inspiration that comes with new colours and cuts of stones. You've seen a few already (the peridot and citrine pieces), and here are some more. One is Rose Quartz with Rhodolite Garnet rondelles, the other is Ametrine with Amethyst rondelles.
This is a cute pair of earrings I created to match the bridal necklace I made, which has yet to be photographed. Nearly perfect round pearls and Swarovski crystals, with sterling silver.
